The Imperium Magazine

The magazine required big and bright covers that were both informative and exciting for the customer. It should be immediately distinguishable when displayed the magazine rack in shops.

Three aspects of the cover were very important, the logo for Imperium, the artwork and contents. Researching other magazines for inspiration I came up with the concept of including both art and the miniatures included. This would both excite the customer and inform them of the exact contents.

Imperium Magazine - Further Covers

Each cover comes with artwork that promotes the contents.

Imperium Magazine - Sections

The Imperium magazine is split into five sections, Collect, Read, Build, Paint and Play. Each section is unique and covers a part of the Warhammer hobby we want to introduce to the customer.

This section covers the collecting of the miniatures, it also allows the customer to create their own unique background to their models.

The read pages are to show the background and larger IP of each faction. They should be colorful with large pieces of art and small amounts of text.

Taking current build guides and use them to construct their models.

The Paint pages take the reader through step-by-step how to paint their miniatures.

Instruct the customer how to play the game of Warhammer 40,000 in a simple and fun way.

Every 4 issues contain a foldout which is a three page special article. Each foldout can come from one of the other sections of the magazine.
