The cover was to stand out from the usual Imperium design, while still fitting into the look of Warhammer. It was to be simple and clean putting the art first.
This is the final cover chosen by the client from a choice of over 10 options I created. In this option, I kept the shapes and typography simple with a light background as the art of Warhammer is usually very busy. This would allow the art to stand out.
